This is a fairly conventional, middle of the range, top lever hammer gun, however it does have rather nice damascus barrels and the extra engraving on the top of the action and the trigger guard lifts it above the standard gun. The proof marks indicate a date between 1875 and 1887 which is consistent with the move to 59 Broad street in 1879 - so it looks like it was made between 1879 and 1887.
