On the face of it this Perrins gun is nothing unusual. A fairly plain, top lever,back action hammer gun. What makes itr a little unusual is that its serial number puts it in the middle of the 'Perrins & Son' era but it has H Perrins prominently engraved on both the side of the action and on the top rib. Was it perhaps one that Henry supplied other than through his normal retail outlet - who can say.
