This is a rare false hammer 16 bore in wonderful condition. It is very similar to the one held at the national firearms forensic facility but, unlike that one, this one is still in the public domain so will be able to be shot and appreciated.

Made between 1875 and 1887 this must have been a top of the range gun and the very latest innovation being the forerunner of the hammerless sidelock.
